If you don’t have access to a dedicated Wi-Fi router, you can broadcast with a Personal Hotspot on your phone or using something like a Verizon MiFi device.
Note: depending on your location, the connection may not be strong enough for a consistent broadcast so make sure to do a Sound Check to test the quality.
For your phone:
- First, go to [Settings] on your phone to turn your personal hotspot on. Note the name and password of the network.
- Put the device back to Setup Mode.
- Go to the mobile app. Tap the Broadcast icon to set up your device again.
- When you get to the Wifi selection step,if you don't see your Personal Hotspot available in the list scroll down to the bottom and tap“Other.”
- Then manually enter the name and password of your personal hotspot.
For a hotspot device:
- Look at your hotspot device and find the network name and password.
- Put the device back to Setup Mode.
- Go to the mobile app. Tap the Broadcast icon to set up your device again.
- When you get to the Wifi selection step, if you don't see your Personal Hotspot available in the list scroll down to the bottom and tap“Other.”
- Then manually enter the name and password of your personal hotspot.
Note: Broadcasting on personal hotspot data requires around 700 MB/hr of data usage to broadcast.
