Windows
- In Reason, go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab.
- Under VST Plugin Folders, make sure that the following path is listed (if not, add it) and check-marked: C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins Quit Reason.
- Press the [Win key]+R, type %LocalAppData% and press Enter.
- Go to Propellerhead Software > Reason.
- Drag the _PluginDatabase.dat file to your desktop. OR Drag the _PluginCache.dat file to your desktop.
- Launch Reason. It will perform a complete plugin re-scan (it may take longer than usual).
- If your plugins are now available in Reason and everything is working properly, you can delete the _PluginCache.dat file from your desktop.
Mac
For Reason 11.0.0 and above:
- In Reason go to Reason > Preferences > Advanced tab.
- Under VST Plugin Folders, make sure that the following path is listed (if not, add it) and check-marked: Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST.
- Quit Reason. In Finder click on the Go menu, hold down the [Alt/Option] key and click on Library. Go to Application Support > Propellerhead Software > Reason > Caches.
- Drag the *dat*file to your desktop. Launch Reason. It will perform a complete plugin re-scan (it may take longer than usual).
For Reason 10.0.1 and below:
- In Reason go to Reason > Preferences > Advanced tab.
- Under VST Plugin Folders, make sure that the following path is listed (if not, add it) and check-marked: Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST.
- Quit Reason. In Finder click on the Go menu, hold down the [Alt/Option] key and click on Library. Go to Caches > Reason.
- Drag the _PluginDatabase.dat file to your desktop. OR Drag the _PluginCache.dat file to your desktop.Launch Reason. It will perform a complete plugin re-scan (will take longer than usual). The Blast Radio DAW Plugin should now be available in your plugins folder in Reason.
