The Desktop Broadcasting App window has a stereo level meter on the left hand side. If you can read levels here and still not hear audio coming from the mobile app, make sure your Output in the Desktop App is also routed properly.
If you are using a stereo audio input coming into the app then you should also have a stereo Output device. You can check the built-in speakers of your laptop/desktop and Mute Audio Output on the top of your Desktop App settings.
